Someone asked me recently about the images of the leadlight window that are embedded in some of my reflections. I discovered this window in Harrogate, England, in June 2019 and I was captivated. From memory, it wasn’t in a church. It was on display in the Royal Pump Room Museum, there in North Yorkshire.
Here it is in its full glory:
I just love the colours and the detail of Jesus surrounded by so many mothers and children. I adore the images of the purring cat, the toy horse, the doll and the ball. Can you see them? This picture speaks so much of community and family love.
I don’t know the story behind this window, but I’d love to learn! Can anyone tell me?
